Boccia Personal

My Boccia international career started in 1988 at the Seoul Paralympics and, with the exception of 1995/6, I competed internationally each year at every major event until 2004 Paralympic Games.

My greatest international achievements as an athlete include representing Great Britain in 4 Paralympics (Seoul 1988, Barcelona 1992, Sydney 2000, Athens 2004). I was internationally ranked as number two in the world for a number of years, and my ranking remained high throughout my competing career.

Major medals / achievements:

• Individual Bronze at the World Championships 1990
• Individual Silver at the World Cup 1991
• Team Gold at the World Championships 2002
• Team 4th at my final Paralympics was the highest position in the Paralympics that I attained
• Member of the Olympic & Paralympic Great Britain Squad winning the BBC Sport Personality Team of the Year 2000
