About Me
Originally from London, I am also a proud Irishman. I am a 4 time Paralympian having represented Great Britain between 1988-2004, and my involvement in Boccia continued as coach, tutor, promoter, organiser through to working on the organisation of London 2012.
I have a degree in Psychology and Masters Degrees in Disability Studies as well as Social Research Methodology. I started, but did not complete my PhD.
I promote the rights and fair representation of disabled people and other ‘minority groups’ in society. This has taken me around the world. Currently I work with Hertfordshire County Council to ensure they are providing opportunities appropriately for disabled people. I have a long standing professional relationship with Disability Sport Wales promoting inclusivity in Local Authorities and National Governing Bodies.
I am a huge Sports Fan as you will discover, none more so than a season ticket holder of 35years at Arsenal Football Club.
